Stadia, Google’s New Game Streaming Platform

The propaganda has been getting strengthened so fast and quick for a while now, and now we have lastly got our first appearance of Google’s grand entry into the world of games and gaming console. And the wonderful name given to that is Stadia.

Well, after a long time of rumors and speculations, finally Google has revealed its plans to enter the video gaming business.

The name refers to be a unifying platform as the company is going to put all the content creators, gamers and coders in all the games. This guarantees for video games. Google has never led behind big dreams, but this seems genuine. This unique platform is going to start in 2019 in the US, UK, Europe, and Canada.

Besides the announcement of Stadia, the company has also come up with a new controller and a new game development studio.

According to the CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai, “I’m not actually a big gamer,” when he started the presentation.

The unifying platform, Stadia aims in allowing the person to play the games on any platform whether it’s on TV, Laptop, Mobile Phones, or tablet. As per Google’s Phil Harrison, this is not a platform, actually, the data center is your platform. Hence, Google showed off a Chromecast streamer that would help the person to make use of the platform on TV.

In between their presentation, the company showed off a player moving a session from laptop to a PC to a phone to a tablet and a TV with basically zero delays.

The company’s most persuasive arguments had to do with multiplayer: this concept usually avoids the public internet by running the whole multiplayer instance at a single data center rather than on a number of devices connected through the internet, permitting for higher and potentially superior expectations.

And on the different side of things, Stadia promises to invent split-screen couch multiplayer possible on the most favorite games again.

YouTube is the main and central to Google’s implementation plans. During the meeting, Google discussed the ‘play now’ button that would permit people to instantly start playing any game that they are watching on YouTube. And they even able to join the streamer during the game session as long as streamer is alright with that.

Even you can also, for example, if watching a video of someone trying to solve a riddle in Rising of the Tomb Raider, as they chose not to use Shadow as their example for some reason and then jumped to on the moment on your own play.

As they have said that the games will be stored in the Google servers by having a high-class structure of Stadia, hence, there is no chance of cheating and hacking.

The fundamental hardware for Stadia is a controller that would help you to play the game again and again; playing games on the given screen.

This makes Google be the first ever company to launch the new era of game streaming, however, I feel it won’t last. Other companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, and Sony are highly expected to make some moves.
